Journey to Zugspitze Updated & Fussen

My last post was brief since we had to get to the tram that led to the train that took us back to the bottom of the Alps. On the way from Munich we traveled on the open autobahn...WOW. We were cruising at around 118 MPH (the owners manual states to keep the speed under 120 MPH for the first 1500 miles). That speed was the average n the fast lane.

We were cruising along fine until all of the sudden the traffic stopped. There was no where to go so we limped along at 5 MPH. We decided to get off the highway and take the scenic route through a little town. It was a beautiful day.

When we got back to the car we journeyed to Fuessen to our next hotel. The room is awesome. We took a walk along the main shopping streets (pedestrians only) and found an Italian restaurant and ate outside. It was really nice. Afterwards we got an ice cream cone at the Italian ice cream shop down the street.

Saturday at Dachau and Zugspitze

We left Munich and visited Dachau concentration camp, very heavy stuff.....it is amazing what people can do to each other.

We then headed to the Zugspitze - highest peak in Germany. It was incredible.

Cameron and I went to the peak...very scary but the view was worth it.

We enjoyed a late lunch too.

And the car...better picture.
