Monday August 23

We arrived in Venice Italy around 6:00 PM. We parked the car and took the passenger ferry trip through the grand canal on the way to our apartment. Venice is really beautiful but a little smelly. We got off the ferry at the wrong stop and I could not figure out how to use the payfone..more about that later. It is about 11:00 PM here and I'm exhausted. I will post pictures tomorrow morning.

    Did'nt want to tell Audra about the smell, thought it might be gone after 40 years.:):(
    We are booked in at the Hotel Concordia overlooking the Saint Mark's Basilica, in the historic center of town. I am assuming that you did not pick-up a pay-as-u-go phone. Looking forward to your pics. Careful of the food...montezuma's revenge is waiting for you. XXX

    Hey guys if you read this while you are still in Italy....Joe is requesting that you get some pics with the Volturi and ask them what is up with those freaky red eyes.....:) Hope you are having a blast.
