We did have a great day anyway without golf (imagine that!). We set out around noon and went to the Ayr city centre and did some shopping.
We got some snacks and a local bakery.
Alex got a yummy steak pastry. It was really great.
Haggis anyone?
This shop was selling everything from beef to zebra, yes zebra. Look at the side of the building and zoom in closely and you will see the days specials.
School kids out for lunch. They were everywhere.
Here is the bargain store "Poundland". To us, it was really the $1.635 dollar store.
Cam and Alex went into this store to buy some new games for the trip home. They were really bummed to find out that UK Sony PSP games and movies are not compatible with US versions of PSP.
After that, we went to Kilmarnock and picked up Uncle Harry and Aunt Isabol. We went to the Killie shop for some souvenirs.
Al playing in front of the Kilmarnock Football Club.
The is the church in Kilmarnock which we visited the last time we were here 5 years ago.
Then we drove down to Troon for dinner at the harbor restaurant. Here are some photos of the Royal Troon Golf Course.
Sunset at the Ayr house.
